Pretty sure VW is setting this up for failure, but I am still somewhat intrigued by this car, curious to see how it drives . Finally cleared for Summer launch. Might be good value used as it’s going to drop like a rock.

Get a Stinger GT for the price of a 270hp Arteon .

Join the RWD master-race in the process.

So I assume this is a CC replacem ent? It’s a good looking sedan, but so was the CC, really.

I keep coming back to the StingerGT for a lot of my next car questions.

I will be watching prices over the next few years...

Yes replacement, and likely an also-ran like the CC.

Everything is great except maybe the steering.

And the turbo lag, and the noise.

And the badge.

But it has no open recalls (I’ve been very worried about the Kia/Hyundai recalls, but the stinger got recalled over wiring in 2017 I think: Very early on).

But it’s like, a great sporty-ish sedan for grown-up auto enthuthiasts that don't want to spend way too much money on a BMW .

You know, I was wondering why I haven’t seen the Arteon on the road yet. I assumed it’s been on sale for a year and no one bought one.

A year later and with it being on sale your statement will still hold true LOL

I don’t believe VW is relevant anymore.

Change my mind.

“Hey, you know what we really need in the showroom? Another car." - said no US dealers in the past 3-4 years.

I’m sure it will sell just as ‘meh’ as the CC , less than 10,000 a year.

Lol as I was typing that I was thinking the same thing.

But I sat in it at * last year’s* auto show and really liked it. Too bad.

The CC was a leasing darling, I suspect this one would be to so.

I loved my CC when I had it, but I wasn’t that fast, fuel efficient, practical and had low residuals/resale value.

Luckily I rolled by upside down equity into a new F150, which was almost as fuel efficient, actually faster, far more practical and has such strong resale that after 3 years into my loan (including adding $3,000 in negative equity from my VW) my truck is worth more than what I owe!

After years of owning various sedans and coupes, turns out my most financially smart decision in new vehicles was a full-size truck!

People seem to forget about depreciation when it comes to new vehicle purchases.

I saw it in person at our auto show and I still want one.

It’s probably just the VW fan boy in me, but one of these lowered on nice wheels would be a nice cruiser. Very disappointing MPG results, though.

I see the occasional one. Very much a niche, like the CC before it. They do look well though.

I saw one on a car carrier today, in this very color, heading to a dealership.

It is definitely pretty. Hopefully that will be enough for this to sell.

I like it but I really can’t figure out who this car is for. It lacks the badge, the power, the space and the driving dynamics of anything else in its price range.

If it had the Golf R engine or a turbo 6 , this would start to have a place in the market.
